How We Work

Three steps, no surprises

  1. 01

    Scope & Quote

We work out what you actually need, agree the feature list, and send a fixed quote. No work begins until the number and the timeline are signed off.

  2. 02

    Design & Build

Interface design first, then development in short cycles. You see working software as it is built, not a black box that opens at the end.

  3. 03

    Launch & Support

Testing on real devices, store submission where relevant, then ongoing monitoring and updates once you are live.

FAQ

How we work

Process, technology, and who owns what at the end of it.

Working together

Message us on WhatsApp at +2348106653031 or email info@bdgroups.cloud with a short description of what you want to build. We will ask a few questions, agree the scope, and send you a fixed quote and timeline. Nothing is charged and no work begins until you have approved that quote.

No. Plenty of our clients arrive with an idea rather than a specification. Part of what we do is scoping: working out what the product actually needs to do, what should be in the first version, and what can wait. If you can describe the problem you are solving and who has it, that is enough to start a conversation.

You get a direct line to the people building your product — usually a WhatsApp group or email thread, plus scheduled check-ins at each milestone. You will see working software as it is built rather than waiting for a reveal at the end, so problems surface early while they are still cheap to fix.

Small refinements are a normal part of the process and we expect them. Changes that meaningfully expand scope — new screens, new integrations, a new user role — are quoted separately before we build them, so the budget never moves without you agreeing to it first.

Yes. We take on existing projects as well as new ones, whether that means adding features, fixing an app someone else built, or working alongside your in-house developers. For an existing codebase we usually start with a short review so we can tell you honestly what shape it is in before committing to a timeline.

Launch is the start, not the end. We monitor for issues, apply security patches and platform updates, and stay available for fixes and new features. Ongoing support is offered as a maintenance arrangement, and the terms are agreed with you rather than assumed.

Yes. We are based in Nigeria and work with clients worldwide. Most collaboration happens over WhatsApp, email and scheduled calls, and we arrange overlapping hours so there is always a window when we are both online.

Technical

For most products cross-platform is the better trade: one codebase, both app stores, meaningfully lower cost, and performance that is indistinguishable for the vast majority of apps. Native is worth the extra cost when you depend heavily on device hardware, need advanced graphics, or are building something performance-critical like a game. We will recommend the one that fits your product rather than the one that bills more.

Yes, if that is what you need. We generally build from a shared codebase so your app runs on both platforms without doubling the cost. If you only want to launch on one platform first, we will structure the build so adding the second later is straightforward rather than a rewrite.

Yes. We prepare the store listings, screenshots and metadata, and manage the submission and review process for both Apple and Google. Review typically takes a few days but can occasionally take longer, and if a submission is rejected we handle the fixes and resubmission.

Yes. Everything we build is responsive by default and tested on real devices, not just resized in a browser. Performance is treated as a requirement rather than an afterthought, because slow sites lose visitors and rank worse in search.

Yes, where it makes sense. We can build your site on a CMS so you can edit text, images, blog posts and products without coming back to us, and we walk you through how it works at handover. For sites that rarely change we sometimes recommend skipping the CMS to keep the build simpler and cheaper.

We build SEO fundamentals into every site as standard: clean semantic markup, structured data, fast load times, mobile-friendly layouts, sensible URLs, sitemaps and metadata. That is the technical foundation ranking depends on. Ongoing content marketing and link building are a separate, longer-term effort we can advise on.

We can set both up for you, registered in your name and under your account so you retain control. Hosting and domain fees are paid to those providers directly at cost rather than marked up by us. If you already have hosting we will work with it, or tell you honestly if it is not up to the job.

We work with modern, well-supported tools — React and Next.js on the web, cross-platform frameworks for mobile, and established cloud infrastructure for hosting and data. We deliberately avoid niche technology that would make your product hard for anyone else to maintain later.

Ownership & security

You do. On full payment, ownership of the source code, designs and related intellectual property transfers to you, and this is written into the agreement rather than left to assumption. This matters more than most clients realise: without it stated explicitly in a contract, the default legal position in many jurisdictions leaves ownership with whoever wrote the code.

Yes. You receive the full source code, typically in a repository under your own account, along with the accounts and credentials for any services your product depends on. You are never locked into us as a supplier — if you want to move to another team later, everything they need goes with you.

Yes, gladly, and before you share the details of your idea if you would prefer. Send us your NDA or ask us to provide one. We treat client work as confidential by default regardless of whether an NDA is in place.

Security is built in rather than bolted on: encrypted connections throughout, hashed credentials, authentication and access controls appropriate to the product, and no unnecessary collection of personal data. For products handling payments or health information we design to the standards those domains require and tell you plainly what obligations sit with you as the data owner.

Tell us early. Because work is delivered in milestones with your sign-off at each stage, there is no scenario where you first see the product at the end and discover it is wrong. If something is not right, we fix it. Anything that is genuinely our error is corrected at our cost.
